Presented March 1, 1998 at Bethany Presbyterian Church, Sacramento CA.
This Moment can be presented while the choir sings John Lennon’s IMAGINE in the background.
“Who likes to pretend? I like to pretend. Sometimes you can pretend you’re someone you’re not. You can be Superman or Wonder Woman or you can pretend you are in a different place – you are in the jungle or you are in outer space…
I want you to imagine for the whole world – not just for you but for the whole world.
(Choir begins singing IMAGINE)
Imagine there is no hatred. It isn’t hard to do. There’s nothing to kill or to die for. There’s no religion too – everyone living a Christian life.
Imagine all the people living a life of peace. Can you imagine that – no fights, no quarrels? That’s hard to do. I think so too.
Imagine this – no possessions. You don’t have anything, you don’t need anything, no greed or hunger. A brotherhood of man. Imagine all the people sharing all the world.
You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday we’re together. And the world will live as one.”
“Let’s go to Sunday School.”
