Bible Verse: Matthew 7:12
Every major faith has a Golden Rule. Enlist volunteers amongst the adults to read the passages below, one immediately after the other., as they walk down the aisles to join the Children. Tell the Children that there are many paths to peace on earth and he one we choose is through Jesus Christ. Others choose different paths, but if the goal is the same, we must embrace our travelling companions.
Mathew 7: “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
Islam: O’ my child, make yourself the measure (for dealings) between you and others. Thus, you should desire for others what you desire for yourself and hate for others what you hate for yourself.
Buddhist: “Hurt not others with that which pains yourself.”
Hindu: Those acts that you consider good when done to you, do those to others, none else. One should never do that to another which one regards as injurious to one’s own self. This, in brief, is the rule of dharma.
