Lesson: Trust God, even when bad things happen Bible
Bible Passage:
Do you ever wonder why bad things happen? Why would God allow this? Well, I’m still trying to figure out the really bad stuff, but as for the little bad stuff…
But first, who would like some cake?
(Note: If you can get away with this, make as big a mess as possible. The kids will love it. Your Plants and Facilities Committee will hate it, but the kids will love it)
Good. Here is some cake stuff. Who wants to drink the cooking oil?How about some raw eggs – would anyone like to eat the raw eggs?I have some flour? How about some baking soda?
Explain that all these things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! God works the same way. Many times we wonder why God would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when God puts these things all in God’s order, they always work for good. We just have to trust God and, eventually, the bad stuff that happens will all make something wonderful!”
Now, let’s go see what treats are waiting for us in Sunday School. (You really better have treats or you may have a revolt on your hands!)
