Once the children are assembled, ask them “Who has ever done something wrong, and then said ‘I’m sorry’ and asked to be forgiven?”
(Some children will likely raise their hands)
“Now watch this.” (Turn to the adults in the congregation). “Who has ever done something wrong, and then said ‘I’m sorry’ and asked to be forgiven?” (Adults will raise their hands)
“Mistakes are something we do our whole life. Some are little and some are very big. But if we ever make a mistake – no matter ow big – if we ask God to forgive us and to help us learn not to make that mistake again, God will forgive you. God will always forgive you and love you.
