POP! Goes the Spirit!

I recommend you use smaller, water balloon sized-balloons. Otherwise, you’ll spend all service blowing up the balloon. Also, inflate the balloon before the moment – it will make it easier to do so in church.

(Fill a balloon with air. Ask)
What’s in this balloon? Nothing? Then why does it make such a big sound when it is popped! (Pop the balloon.)

We are like a balloon. When we are just being our good selves, (poke an empty balloon) nothing!

But when we are filled with the Holy Spirit (blow into balloon) – something you can’t see (blow into balloon) or smell (blow into balloon) or taste (blow into balloon) than you are filled with something so powerful (blow into balloon) it is bound to make a noise in the world.

(Hold a pin poised above the balloon. Dismiss the Children to Sunday School)
