Lesson: You are loved
Bible Passage: Luke 12:7
This morning I want to talk about someone very important to you.
This someone loved you before you were born and from the moment you were created, took care of you.
I’m talking about someone who knew every strand of hair on your head and who would protect you from any hurt.
This someone gives you life, nourishes you and has created an entire world for you.
Do you know who I’m talking about?
(If the children answer unanimously “God” or “Mom”, then say “Well, I was talking about your Mom or God (the opposite of the first answer), but I suppose your answer is correct too. Interesting how the two are so close.”)
If the children give a mixed answer of “God” AND “Mom” then ask them to repeat their response so it is heard clearly that both answers are being given. Then say “You’re right.”
(Regardless of the response, go immediately to prayer)
Let’s close in prayer. Thank you for the great gift of life you have given each one of us. May we do great things in that life and prove worthy of the gift.
